1. Who We Are

TravelBuddy is a travel assistant application developed and operated by AddyLabs US, based in Gainesville, Florida, United States. We can be reached at contact@addylabs.us.

2. Information We Collect

When you create a TravelBuddy account or use our services, we may collect the following information:

• Identity Information: First name, last name
• Contact Information: Email address, phone number
• Location Information: Home address (used to calculate your departure time to the airport)
• Travel Credentials: TSA PreCheck Known Traveler Number (KTN), Global Entry status, CLEAR membership status — used only to calculate your estimated security wait time
• Flight Information: Flight numbers and travel dates you enter into the app
• Device Location: Your approximate GPS location when using the app, used to identify nearby airports and calculate drive time

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to deliver the TravelBuddy service:

• Calculate your personalized departure time based on your home address, flight schedule, TSA wait estimates, and traffic conditions
• Identify nearby airports based on your location
• Provide flight status, weather, and travel alerts relevant to your trip
• Send email verification codes during account signup
• Send transactional emails such as welcome messages and flight alerts (subscribers only)
• Send SMS flight alerts and departure reminders (subscribers only, with opt-in)
• Process subscription payments securely through Stripe

4. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect payment card numbers — all payments are handled by Stripe
• We do not collect passport or government ID information
• We do not collect your browsing history or behavior outside the app
• We do not collect data from your contacts, camera, or microphone

5. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely on our servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Your travel credentials (KTN, Global Entry, CLEAR) are stored in our database and used only for TSA wait time calculations within the app.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Our email service provider for transactional emails. No marketing use.
• Twilio: SMS alerts for subscribed users who have opted in to text notifications.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

7. Email Communications

We send the following types of emails:

• Verification emails: A one-time code sent when you create your account
• Welcome email: Sent once after successful account creation
• Flight alerts: Sent to subscribers based on their flight information (opt-in)
• Pre-flight reports: Sent to subscribers who forward booking confirmations (opt-in)

We do not send promotional or marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from all communications at any time by replying STOP or contacting us at contact@addylabs.us.

8. SMS Communications

SMS alerts are available to subscribers only and require explicit opt-in during signup. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or updating your preferences in the app.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt out of email and SMS communications at any time
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@addylabs.us. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Flight itinerary data and temporary verification codes are deleted automatically after use.

11. Children's Privacy

TravelBuddy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at contact@addylabs.us.

12. Third-Party Services

TravelBuddy uses the following third-party services to deliver its features:

• Google Maps API — drive time and navigation

• AviationStack — flight status data
• National Weather Service (NOAA) — weather information
• IPAWS / NWS — emergency alerts
• Stripe — payment processing
• Amazon SES — transactional email
• Twilio — SMS notifications

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the data they process.

13. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice in the app. Your continued use of TravelBuddy after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
